CTS utilizes robotic technology for the automation of on-site ultrasonic inspections. A computer-controlled robot scanner, in conjunction with a multichannel system, is used to obtain B- and C-scan data. Applications include hydrogen blistering and corrosion mapping in pressure vessels, and lamination mapping in plate.

The CTS lab facility also offers advanced technology immersion testing with 16 independent scanning channels, on-line imaging and data processing, and high volume / low cost production capacity. Typical applications for this facility include extruded products, bar stock and tubing.
